What can I expect?
You will be placed on 4 weeks paid work programme where you will gain knowledge of employment with our client Dovecote Park and their award-winning food manufacturing.
You will learn all the jobs and duties within the primary beef department, learning how the raw product develops from farm to fork.
You will be expected to work in a variety of roles within the department from packing, bagging, tagging, labelling and hygiene.
Some of this role will also be classroom based. Working with the multi award winning training team you will gain basic maths and English, work skills, health and safety awareness, manual handling and food safety being support throughout.
If you show commitment, good attendance and good time keeping after the 4-week work placement you will qualify for the Dovecote Park Level 2 Manufacturing apprenticeship Programme.
Hours of work
06.00am – 18.00pm working on a 2 weeks rota, which will include working weekend on weekend off.
Week 1 - 4 shifts, Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday = 44 hours after break deductions
Week 2 – 3 shifts, Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday = 33 hours after break deductions,
You will have 2 x breaks per shift, breakfast 30 Minutes and Lunch 45 minutes (only 1 hour per shift is deducted
You will be required to follow a production rota which will involve rotating in various jobs roles and sections through the manufacturing facility.
18 to 20-year-old = £6.45 per hour
21 to 24-year-old = £8.20 per hour
25 years and over = £8.72 per hour
You will be paid weekly by arears each Friday by Byrom Food Solutions LTD
Please note we have no control of when the funds will hit your account on the Friday (different banks differ when they release your funds).
